I think it’s almost cliche to say “I love fall!!!!!!!” But guess what? I do!
Today was actually our first taste of fall weather in Georgia and I may have been a little too excited and dressed the Lees in their Halloween outfits for our picnic on the Towne Green. Especially when we got there and the fountains were running and kids were running around half-dressed splashing in the water.
OOPS! At least I let them take their shoes off;)
Anyways, I couldn’t resist choosing a fun, fall post as my feature for this week! I love getting my kids excited about learning with nature and these leaf tangrams just seem like too much fun. Both the Lees love crafting right now and every time we are outside Whitlee brings me leaves to look at. Last year I encouraged her to practice cutting by following the veins of the leaves, but never did I think to cut leaves and create pictures! Does it get any better? So many creative, fine motor, and critical thinking skills at work.
Colleen at Life Over Cs has many more great kids’ activities but this leaf learning activity is definitely a favorite for me!
