Hi Friends! I’m excited you’re here.
Thank you so much for joining me each week as we recount what’s up with the Waltons and the sunshine sent my way in the midst of the chaos, so let’s get to it!
But First- Enter the Giveaway!
I would love for you to enter my very first Giveaway for cash straight to your inbox!
We have a tiny yard- tiiiiiiiny- and I fuss about it a lot (PS- My hubs will diiiiiiiieeeee when he sees the weeds in those pics!!!). But in truth, despite all the flaws I see, it is a haven to two little girls. They wake up in the morning begging to go outside so we do. The result is a nice little redneck conglomeration of baby pools, trampolines, water tables, and plastic toys. Because we have so little space it’s all jammed together and looks a little trashy but the Lees are happy so I affectionately refer to the yard as our Redneck Riviera and add to the mess. (Please note- B despises a bath but cannot get enough of the baby pool and water table???)
We celebrated Baby Dedication at church this weekend. Whit was a few years overdue for dedication because we had family events fall that weekend each year- and last year B was born the week of and I had no intentions of wearing mesh underwear and waddling up in front of the entire church, so we stayed home. But this year we were finally able to participate and I just have to show you how angelic the Lees looked in their white dresses.
Oh- B’s gorgeous dress was my dedication dress 30 years ago, made by my Nonna. Isn’t it amazing???
A Day In The Life
I don’t know what’s up with the Waltons but the Lees are acting crazy every time I go to the bathroom (I guess that’s what I get for wishing they would stop following me in the bathroom). I try not to shower when I’m home alone with the Lees because- well, it’s not very relaxing. But sometimes it’s inevitable so I hide the dangerous things and set the Lees up in my room with some highly educational Disney television. Usually this is successful but today I came out of the shower to this scene:
Thank goodness it was only a wet diaper.
Of course I still had to dry my hair so I changed everyone and put on real clothes and got them settled back on my bed. I don’t know if the door didn’t latch or if Whit has learned to open the door by herself but I finished drying my hair and heard suspicious sounds in the baby monitor so I went on the hunt for a twonager. I found her emptying the drawers from her dresser and toting around a container of baby powder.
The next time I came out of the bathroom I heard shrieking from the kitchen and located this little piggy trying to climb up on the table for leftover Chick-Fil-A. Only- she got stuck and couldn’t figure out how to get up or down so she just screamed.
And I would love to say it ended here- but the last time I went to the bathroom I came back to 2 little exhibitionists eating popsicles on the patio and asking me to throw their diapers in the trash. Whyyyyyy????
(obviously I snapped this pre-strip!)
