Last week I realized I was only 8 weeks out from my favorite family holiday. While this should have excited me it actually sent me into a near panic because I was not prepared!!!! Yes, Halloween on the horizon sends me into an excited state of anxiety as I try to plan our family-themed costumes.
To make matters worse, this year I have an opinionated 3 year old to try to appease. I’ll admit most of my friends (and my husband) don’t get my Halloween obsession, but this girl—Rachel, from BombshellBling.com— she gets me. It’s a good thing we don’t live near each other because Halloween would be out of control.
Rachel’s adorable family dressed up like the Who’s and the Grinch, complete with a sled! And then, because this Christmas adorableness wasn’t enough, they recreated the ENTIRE BOOK as a gift for grandparents. What kid doesn’t want to star in their own Dr. Seuss book? I am definitely filing this one away for future use! Thanks so much for sharing, Rachel!

For the One who Longs to Be Brave by Ifeoma Samuel
“Brave looks a lot like, Be Ready, Be Willing, Just Go! You need to be willing and ready to GO even if you don’t know ‘To what’.”
Valerie says, “Ifeoma’s post, For The One Who Longs to Be Brave caught my attention right away. What do we do when God tells us ‘to go?’ We want to know where we’re going but God tells us to be brave and follow Him.“
Kate says, “Saying I’m obsessed with family-themed Halloween costumes would be an understatement. And while I know my kids will nix this tradition sooner than I would like to think about, I’m living it up for one more year. I love Rachel’s over-the-top family costumes! I am filing this away as a possible future idea for us!”
Alison says, “It’s tempting to turn a blind eye to the negative news & overwhelming media. And yet, we are called to respond – to love. Thanks for this reminder, Elizabeth!”
