I hope you are all a little refreshed this week as we head into February!!! The start of a new month usually sends me into panic for a few minutes over goals I didn’t accomplish, before I get excited about the clean slate of a fresh, new month!
We had another great link party last week and had so many amazing posts linked up! Thank you for joining us each week. Here’s what’s been happening in my life!
If you have ever been in my house or talked to me about my house you know I have a giant pet peeve: low light and dark walls. On a cloudy day, winter day, rainy day, and in the morning and at night our house takes on cavernous, yellow hues. It doesn’t help that the dark walls are flat paint so they suck up any light directed at them. You may have gathered from my recent posts that we were changing things up around here- this January was just too gloomy for me and I decided the tired, brown walls in my house needed to be refreshed. So I loaded the Lees up and stocked up on gallons of paint to update my walls and bring some light into this house. It may have been an ambitious project since my ceilings are around 20 foot tall in the living room— but it’s too late to stop now (and yes, this wall has looked like this for 3 days! Everyone start praying my kids sleep tonight!)
Oh Sunny Day
After several weeks of gloom and doom the sun came out and so did we! Typical Georgia winter- we spend 2 weeks with highs in the 30’s and switch it up with mosquitos and 70 degree sunshine a week later. The warm weather and sunshine has definitely refreshed our attitudes, too. We were all a little stir crazy! Georgians may love a little snow but we just aren’t made for the cold. The sunny warmth is on its way out but we soaked it up for a few days! Nothing like a little Vitamin D to bring back smiles and energy.
Adventures in potty training brought to you by Whitlee! No she did not use the potty. Yes she insisted she had to bring the potty outside. No I have no idea what I’m doing. Yes I’m a potty training dropout.
This angel baby turns one in less than 2 months! I’m undecided how I feel about that but since one of the main reasons I have kids is to plan their birthday parties, I would say I’m pretty excited. I’m working on a collaboration with several local businesses to make this the party of every one-year-old’s dreams!
