I’m so glad you are back with us at 100 Happy Days this week. I apologize for not sharing my happy moments last week. We have had a jam-packed two weeks, followed by almost a week of sick babies. So- the good news we’ve had a decent amount of happy moments in all the crazy… But I’ve fallen down on my job capturing memories and taken very few photos. I know, I know- typically I take more photos of my kids than the average person but it breaks my heart to think there are memories I haven’t captured (although let’s be honest- I won’t remember the pictures I didn’t get in a year). But the last two weeks… well… I haven’t done my best. On the bright side, if I ever get back to making photo books and scrapbooks for the Lees I will probably be thankful to have a few less images to wade through!I hope you enjoy the few I have and I will try to do better this week at capturing memories.
The most romantic Valentine’s Day EVER!
Well this was definitely one for the books (insert extreme sarcasm). See my plate all by itself (aside from 37 Lambie and Doc figurines)? Yep- that was my fancy, lonesome Valentine’s celebration since the twonager was determined her Dada was going to lay down with her and he proceeded to fall asleep (and I have to go in to get him multiple times before he actually wakes up, FYI!). I’m pretty sure one of the perks of marriage is never spending Valentine’s alone… Well, guess what, people! It’s game over once you have kids!
This jam session
Their grandparents may have been livin’ it up in Charleston with Garth and Trisha but these 3 were making some pretty serious music on their own. I’ll take this jam session any day!
Happy Birthday,Mama! Love, the Lees!
Most days these two are complimented endlessly on their angelic behavior while Mama CrossFits. Other days it’s Mama’s birthday and the Lees decide to leave me an extra messy present. You have to admit it was pretty funny. If I ever remember to get my birthday video off the hubs’ phone I’ll toss it in here. Whit says, “Happy Today!” instead of Happy Birthday and I find it absolutely delicious. She also wanted me to look at her the entire time they sang so she kept taking her tiny toddler hands and turning my face towards her. Precious moments!
Time for Your Checkup
If you’ve been hanging around for anytime, you may have noticed that Whit wears a stethoscope most hours of the day and her very favorite game is “check up”. Last week we had our first “real” patient. Doc McStuffins herself accidentally took a bath in peanut butter! We quickly diagnosed with Icky-stickyosis and prescribed her a quick bath in the washing machine. As you can see Doc McWhitlee was very pleased with herself.
It’s amusing how different the Lees are! Both have been battling sickness for almost a week but one responds by snuggling and sleeping while the other is amped up and and adding bumps and bruises by the minute. Bradlee is loving having free reign of the house and spends most of her time sitting on her sister’s 4-wheeler (and accidentally driving it on occasion). I finally resorted to stuffing her (quite literally) in a box with some tupperware so I could go to the bathroom and fix a bottle without hearing a crash.
